COVID-19 is a national public health crisis affecting North Carolina and Charlotte. See below for important updates regarding its impact on the film industry.

What You Need to Know

North Carolina is open for production during its current Phase 2 reopening stage. While the state has restrictions on mass gatherings, production sets “for work” are exempt under Section 7 of Executive Order 141.

There are currently no quarantine requirements for those coming from out of state.

Face coverings are required to be worn in public places, both indoors and outdoors.

While there are no film-specific state guidelines or restrictions, the North Carolina Film Office and Charlotte Regional Film Commission strongly advise productions follow these guidelines:
